We will deliver sustainable social and environmental outcomes by minimising energy use and maximising sustainability, minimising impacts on the environment, and promoting workforce development. There are more than 1300 requirements and 80-plus targets related to sustainability to be delivered across design, construction, procurement, rail systems and operations.
Community
Parklife Metro is dedicated to establishing and maintaining proactive relationships with key stakeholders, interfacing projects, communities and businesses. We recognise that effective community and stakeholder engagement is essential in minimising and mitigating any construction impacts and we will strive for a continuous improvement approach. Parklife Metro’s design and operational solution means Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport will be the first rail project in Australia to commit to becoming certified carbon neutral from the start of construction all the way throughout operation.
All carbon emissions generated during construction and operation will be reduced and offset.
